It's been 3 weeks since I posted last. Can we say "sucky blogger"? Ugh--So anyone who actually reads this may be wondering what I have been up to lately? Well, a few things. So I'll keep it simple while I update you.
1. Derek and I picked out/bought our wedding rings (the sooner you buy the more $$$ you save for the same ring you'd end up with a year from now...no brainer eh?).
2. My youngest sister Rebecca graduated from Iowa State!! Derek and I got to see her in her cap and gown walk across stage and I am SO PROUD :)
3. We got some extra snuggle time with our favorite little Cheeks.
4. Spent Mother's Day weekend back home with Mom. Did a little wedding dress shopping at Mom's request (no pictures of that thank goodness!), checked out a swap meet and went in to culture shock, and had a nice Sunday dinner with the grandmas before returning home.
5. Derek and I started getting serious about going to the gym--so we won't be a bunch of fatties when we get our engagement pics taken in August.
6. I worked--same shit different day.
7. Made another trip back home where I spent time with the fam again as well as got some good ole hammocking in.
8. Cheeks was baptized.
9. After the baptism Derek and I tried to get a little golfing in a po-dunk town called Elma with his parents before bad weather hit. We only got 3 holes in before we had to pack up and hide our cars in the car wash (hail was a comin') and duck into a little dive bar for cover (and a beer). Had a blast the entire time!
10. Stopped at the rental I moved out of in February to gather some last minute things before the lease was up. This is where I got to catch up with my pal Huber and Ozman made a new little friend!
Life has been crazy busy and I've been lovin' every minute (I could give or take the working business...but you know how it is!)!! Now you're all caught up! I'll try not to leave ya hanging this long ever again~ Peace and blessings :)
