So I know I've mentioned it a few times before but I love reading blogs and even get kind of obsessed. These "every day" 20 something's that are just "ordinary girls" are fricken gorgeous, always have the perfect makeup and hair, and have a talent for self portraits in their mirrors. It's like their super power or something! And I am thru the roof jealous of them and their adorable and yet witty little blogs. I want to write like them!! I mean, I wouldn't hate LOOKING like them either, but definitely like their writing personalities, their wit, and all the creative/entertaining things they do.
For example, yesterday before I posted my blog post I read some my favorites. The Reader's Digest version is that one of them went out wining and dining every night this weekend and looked gorgeous doing it (I'd turn in to a double wide if I ate out that much and pry would have to upgrade into the next size of jeans), leaving a picture trail of everything she ate---wowza! Then I flip to the next blog and see that she just spent her weekend at Disney world or somewhere with Mickey ears in her picture and drinking fruity drinks in the warm weather...also looking disgustingly adorable. Hello?!
Moral of this story? I'm wondering if that can possibly be real life. Where do they get the time to do all this? Or the energy? Or the money?! How did I spend MY day you ask? Well I spent 8 hours in a room learning crisis prevention and what to do when patients pull my hair, or try to choke me out, or bite me (other than knock them upside the head...because they hit me first!! But that's assault...ugh). Let me tell you--not exciting. This was followed by wing and beer night after work with Derek's coworker (let's be honest--wings and beer is delish), then nursing my fat full tummy while watching new episodes of The Voice and New Girl, and finally hiding in the bedroom writing this blog while Derek and Oswald have a fart-off in the living room (woofta). It's no Disney--this is #reallife. Is it weird that I think my life is pretty fantastic?! Ha!
